Team News

Mumbai Indians

  • Lasith Malinga and Asela Gunaratne have joined the squad and both are available for today’s match.
  • Ambati Rayadu is out of the action for few days after he picked groin injury in the last match.
  • Mumbai Indians were short of a bowler in the last match and might want to bring in a bowler in place of Ambati Rayadu.
  • Being the death over specialist, Lasith Malinga is expected to join the playing XI straight away and will come in place of either McCleneghan or Southee.

Kolkata Knight Riders

  • Shakib Al Hasan has joined the KKR squad and is available for selection. KKR may bring him straight away in the playing XI but it would be tough to decide at whose expense. They played 3 spinners in the last match so Shakib would be the fourth option. He may come in place of Sunil Narine to maintain the balance of fast bowlers and spinners ratio.
  • Umesh Yadav is still not available for selection. So if KKR decides to bring in an Indian fast bowler, Ankit Rajpoot could be an option.
  • Rovman Powell is also unavailable for selection. He is with WI ODI team currently in Guyana.
