Fixture: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challenger Bangalore, 1st match
Time/Date: 02:30 PM GMT/ 08:00 PM Local / 05 April 2017
Venue: Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad
Here we will be talking about the possible scenarios of the match that could help the fantasy gamers such as Dream11 users to make their Dream team and help them win big.
Match and Pitch Conditions
Weather is expected to be clear during the course of the match.
Pitch condition: The pitch of Rajiv Gandhi stadium is usually on the slower side and favorable for bowlers. On this ground, 6 out of 7 matches were won by team batting 2nd in last year’s IPL with the first innings score being 142/7, 142/6, 143/6, 118/8, 194/5, 126/6, 146/8 and chasing team winning it comfortably except in the 30th match when SRH scored 194/5 and won by 15 runs against RCB.
Probable Playing XI: (In the Batting order)
Sunrisers Hyderabad: David Warner(c), Shikhar Dhawan, Moises Henriques, Yuvraj Singh, Deepak Hooda, Mohammad Nabi, Naman Ojha(wk), Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Siraj, Ashish Nehra.
Royal Challengers Bangalore: Chris Gayle, Mandeep Singh, Shane Watson(c), Travis Head, Kedar Jadhav(wk), Sachin Baby, Stuart Binny, Pawan Negi, Tymal Mills, Sreenath Aravind, Yuzvendra Chahal.
This is the most likely playing XIs for SRH and RCB. However, if there are some changes in the above team, what could that be?
For Sunrisers Hyderabad:
- Barinder Sran could come in for Mohammad Siraj.
- Ben Cutting might play in place of Rashid Khan. In this case, Siraj will have to make way for Bipul Sharma
- Eklavya Dwivedi could be replaced by Naman Ojha for his hard hitting ability down the order (could be very likely change).
For Royal Challengers Bangalore:
- They might want to strengthen their bowling so Aniket Chaudhary might come in for Sachin Baby. (Very unlikely)
- Iqbal Abdulla might come in place of Pawan Negi.
The players who are unavailable for tomorrow’s (5th April) match are:
RCB: AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Sarfaraz Khan
SRH: Mustafizur Rahman
Shane Watson: In the absence of Kohli and De Villiers, Shane Watson will lead the side and will be a valuable part of RCB. He might open the innings with Gayle or will bat at third which is more likely. He is also a handy pacer who can chip wicket at regular intervals with his variation and uncanny ways. Being the batting and bowling prowess he is, it will be tough to keep him out of your fantasy team.
Travis Head: He can be very dangerous in the middle order once he gets going. His strike rate of 141 and average above 27 in t20s tells it all. He is also a handy off-spinner in favorable conditions.
Kedar Jadhav: Wicketkeeper batsman with hard hitting ability in the middle and lower order and can bowl a couple of overs if needed. Don’t forget that Wicketkeeper has more chances of taking catches than any other fielder which can yield decent points.
Tymal Mills: Another master of slower pace. He can also bowl with good pace and bounce. A total bowling package.
Shikhar Dhawan: He was in good touch recently in the Deodhar trophy and he would want to re-claim his position in the Indian team for Champions Trophy.
Moises Henriques: An explosive batsman at number three and a handy bowler in middle overs. Could be a great pick for fantasy users.
Rashid Khan: Most of the batsman in RCB line-up will be facing him for the first time. So it could be hard for the batsman to pick his googlies. He could be a real menace to the RCB line-up if the conditions favor his bowling.
My Dream11 pick
Since the pitch doesn’t assist the bowlers much in the 2nd inning so I would go with at least two teams – the first team if RCB play first and the second case if SRH plays first.
If SRH play first
If RCB play first
